From childhood, Alex has been drawn to the power of design. She can recollect, walking into a space and analyzing how an interior influenced feeling, and could create a sense of place and memory.
At BCIT, Alex was able to hone her intuition for design into a technical skill, which she then brought to HB Design. For nearly ten years, under the mentorship of Lesli Balagno and Jennifer Heffel, Alex was able to work at the highest level of luxury design, specializing in high-end new home construction. Now, with BASE A, she brings not only the community and resources from her past decade of work, but a unique perspective to interiors, shaped by an appreciation of the classic and a love for the cutting edge.
